Seo Yeong-hee ("Bedevilled", "Rough Play") squeezes out a lot of her role which in other hands probably would have been a completely negligible part and elevates the serious problems, which Dae-man's daydreaming cause, to a believable level, so that this subplot almost seems to be on equal terms with the actual detective story, whereas former one has enough humoristic moments in store as well, of course.

But the constant implementation of twists and sudden revelations of new facts as well as a subplot in the world of the living make the plot derail at some point und you start to realize that the director doesn't have a close grip on the reins.

The integrated subplot around the Ainu, the natives of the isle, doesn't just stand as an analogy to Native Americans, but is in general an interesting aspect of the story.

This episode was very well written and I really liked the side-story about his former fellow student and (however short) Cuddy.
